Investigation Differently recognises that it can take time for organisations to build the capacity to enable professional facilitation. We offer clients professional facilitation services for a range of workshops including learning teams, risk assessments and investigations.
Learning Teams are facilitated workshops, specifically designed to discover how work is really completed by the workforce (work as normal), as opposed to how an organisation intends for work to be completed (procedures, policy etc.) Utilising generative questioning techniques, the facilitator guides the workshop through the work and discovers the underlying conditions, system and context that drives the work. The workshop is then tasked with uncovering potential recommendations that address any issues discovered.
Learning Risk Assessments
Many organisations utilise the semi-qualitative risk assessment process to identify hazards and manage risks. Risk assessments can become a ‘cut & paste’ exercise with little or no innovation discovered. Controls remain predominately focused on ‘Safety Work’ rather than the ‘Safety of Work’.
Utilising a learning approach to risk assessments, allows our facilitator to explore the work as normal, focus on assessing genuine risks and enable an environment that encourages a risk assessment team to innovate. This approach can be easily incorporated into organisations existing risk assessment processes.
