Participants in our 1-day Learning Teams Masterclass gain practical skills to facilitate collaborative groups focused on organisational learning from incidents, near-misses, or everyday operations.
This masterclass enables participants to gain hands-on expertise in leading interactive Learning Teams sessions, employ generative questioning techniques to uncover deeper insights without assigning blame, pinpoint key themes and practical solutions collaboratively, integrate dedicated “soak time” for thoughtful reflection and idea development after meetings, and craft clear, actionable reports that outline specific next steps and follow-up measures.
Topics covered in the training include.
- \Human and Organisational Performance principles applied to safety
- \Generating possible solutions in hours, not weeks
- \Engaging the people who do the work to gain practical solutions
- \Key roles: facilitator, manager, scribe, and team members with their responsibilities
- \Make it okay to talk about mistakes
- \Identify error traps and latent conditions that other tools may not detect
- \Focus on identifying and strengthening controls
- \Facilitation techniques for guiding collaborative discussions effectively
- \Using generative questioning to explore events deeply without blame
- \Identifying themes, patterns, and potential solutions during sessions
